HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) O-rings are made from a hydrogenated version of Nitrile rubber, providing enhanced resistance to heat, oils, and a wide range of chemicals. HNBR O-rings offer excellent mechanical strength, superior wear resistance, and outstanding performance in extreme conditions, including high temperatures and aggressive media. These O-rings are ideal for use in automotive, industrial, and oilfield applications, where durability and reliability are essential.
HNBR Recommended UsesAutomotive fuel systems, automotive seals, industrial equipment, oil and gas applications, hydraulic systems, chemical processing, high-temperature applications, and heavy-duty machinery.
HNBR Not RecommendedAromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, low molecular weight acids, and amines.
HNBR Limitations
- Not suitable for applications involving strong acids and alkalis.
- Not recommended for exposure to polar solvents.
- Limited low-temperature flexibility compared to other elastomers.
- Not ideal for applications with high shear and abrasion conditions.
-20 to 300°F (-29 to 149°C)
HNBR Also Known AsHydrogenated Nitrile, HNBR, HSN (Hydrogenated Styrene Nitrile), Peroxide-cured Nitrile.
